Fascism In California

The fascism of the wild eyed do gooders is taking root in one California city. Ol' BC has had a number of questions over the last several years regarding how he's lived to be middle aged without the government actively protecting me and every step I take. Well, you youngsters out there today won't have to fear. Pretty soon your right to make personal decisions will be stripped away in total. This is just so you don't make any foolish decisions. THEY will tell you none of this new facism is really enacted to inhibit your rights, it just does.

Some of you who paid any attention in history class may remember the fall of the Roman empire. It came when the government tried to provide for and think for everyone. Didn't work then. Won't work now either. (See all the failed communist and socialist efforts around the world.) But the do gooders seem determined to try. I just don't really know why.

Just an observation.

I hate calling them do gooders.

Is there anything they are doing that's really any good?

Irony is sort of lost on you, isn't it, RWR?

Anyway, I think it must be a natural progression of empire. All are slated do die, I suppose. I think it is a disease akin to poor management, really. It is my experience that the best managers manage least. They inspire their workers by simply being kind and wonderful human beings. The worst managers are the ones who can't stand to see a man standing on the clock, who orders him about every moment of the day.

Eventually this sort of governance, or micromanagement, will consume everyone involved until the ultimate goal is lost. And I can only assume that the ultimate goal was freedom through improving the lives of everyone involved. The irony of course is that the more government/management attempts to improve, the more freedoms are bound to be lost. In essence, they aim at the wrong target. I find this to be the single largest breakdown of government. They do not aim at root causes, but only at results and effects.

Anyway, how are you, BC? Work treating you all right? ;)
