Putin Sends ABC News Packing
The iron curtain may have fallen. The Berlin Wall may have come down. BUT, that freedom of the press thing isn't quite the same in some parts of the world as the good ol' USA.
This story tells what prompted such a move by Putin. You see, not all world leaders are as nice as Dubya. Apparently, Putin was offered equal time to rebut a story he didn't like. Too little, too late. ABC, you're out.
Ol' BC is waiting to see the New York Times take on this. Could be interesting.

Seems odd that you criticize Putin for objecting to Koppel's interview with Basayev. What do you think Dubya would do if Koppel interviewed bin Laden?
I seriously doubt that the government would oust ABC News from the country. I know there are plenty who would support such an action, however.
