Tallahassee Democrats Like The Rest

Oh, those Democrats in Tallahassee, Florida. You know the kind.
Save the environment. Don't kill a tree. Unless, of course, it benefits me.

That's what we have in Tallahassee. With all the talk of global warming and the necessity of reducing carbon dioxide emissions, those wiley Democrats are pushing for a new coal-fired power plant. Four hundred million dollars worth. Four hundred million dollars for what has been deemed the leading cause of "global warming." A third of the carbon dioxide emissions come from these plants. What's up with that?

A 100% Democrat council and a Democrat mayor and this is where they're going? Where is Al Gore?

But the mayor sums it up when he said his constituents are more concerned about their electric bills than cutting CO2 emissions.

That's normal. Just an observation.

Just goes to show the Donks don't really buy into all that global warming crap. They just use it as a political tool to get extra $$ to spend.

In the absence of alternatives, yeah, I'd rather have another coal-fired plant. But the overwhelming evidence shows that nuke plants are far cleaner and cheaper--maybe even less disruptive to the fish & game than a hydroelectric plant.

OTOH, what's state government doing involving itself in private business, anyway? Absent dopey politicoes, the market would make a choice. It'd be a better choice than anything dummy politicians will force us to acept.

Absence of government involvement is nearly always preferable. Especially the feds.
