Not A Compromise

Normally, compromises have some degree of merit. However, Secretary of State Rice has indicated that a compromise may be possible in the Israel - Hezbollah conflict in Lebanon on the part of the U.S. Caving in to the will of the sissy assed Euros doesn't appeal much to Ol' BC.

The measure that France and the U.S. were working on would be the first of two
resolutions aimed at achieving a permanent cease-fire and a long-term solution
to the conflict.

Better to can that idea right now. From the Arafat days to the Iranian jibberish of the recent past, all the Arab Muslims want is the eradication of Israel. Period. Any peace agreement by them will be only to improve this end. Anybody thinking otherwise has eaten way too many mushrooms at the Phish or Dead concerts. There will never be any lasting peace in that area until Israel finally makes most of the region a parking lot.

Bush needs to quit trying to play the politically correct card and stay out of Israel's way. Just allow them to remain supplied militarily and they'll handle it.

Dig this...
Meanwhile, the State Department said the United States plans to help train and
equip the Lebanese army so it can take control of all of the nation's territory
when warfare between Israel and Hezbollah eases.

Now, there is a dark hole to pour money down. Won't work. Not a chance. When it gets right down to it, most of Lebanon would turn on Israel in a heartbeat if they thought Israel and the Jews would be done.

Here's the latest. Time will tell. Most of us may not live long enough to see how it comes out.

Just a thought.

Truer words were ne'er spake.
