Oblahma Films Owns Propaganda Spots. . .

. . . just like the old USSR or his present day buddy, Hugo Chavez. Check out this abc news account.

Is the goal to ultimately replace the pesky photographers who film what they
want to and not what they're told to (not to mention the annoying reporters who
ask uncomfortable questions about, say, detainee policy and bank bailouts)?

I'd say that Ol' BC wouldn't be surprised to see more of this sort of thing from the present administration. Obviously, he won't be subjected to Bush-like coverage, but he doesn't do real well when contradictions and shortcomings are pointed out. More of this to come?

Just an observation.

Seems like just about all the press corps reporters are hand picked to bow and scrape and shout "hallelulya!" whenever B Hussein deigns to enter their presence.
I suppose they're waterboarded until they say the water flows uphill (and really believe it!). Part of the qualifications for the press corps.

The odd independent who actually asks a real question is sent to work in the top secret salt mines in the Bering Straits, never to be seen again.

Good grief. You guys are comparing the filming of Obama's pick-up basketball game with the Huskies with the media under Hugo Chavez and the USSR? This sort of rash and baseless accustion does nothing to help your cause. In fact, the only ones you rally are always on the rally. That's all they do. In essence, you only help the Democrats by further marginalizing your cause and, painfully, your authority in these matters. So, keep it up! I applaud you!

Mark,

This fellow's taxpayer-financed self aggrandizement doesn't bother you at all?

Many despot-caused atrocities were successful because the populace complacently sat on their hands while he gathered power. It can happen here. No man should have that kind of power.

LOL No man should have the power to video tape? You are a buffoon.

Ok, I left myself open for that. It's pretty easy to deliberately take something the wrong way and then laugh at it. A lot easier than to address the issue.

That would require thinking, an art in fearfully short supply with leftists.

Clearly, my point was to address his self-aggrandizement and his giving the boot to any newsman who actually ask a cogent question.

I laugh at you because I fail to see how self aggrandizement is a crime or a threat. I also fail to see how filming a visit by a basketball team with government resources is a threat to our democracy. Like all far right wingers at this time, you are desperately throwing mud at anything that passes over your screen. However, this will only serve to marginalize you further. Good luck!

I'm not a right winger. I just hate dictators.

Yes, you are. I know you are a so-called Libertarian. The Libertarians, however, whether you admit it or not, are about as far right as you can get without tipping off the scale. So, yes, your thoughts, you argumentation style, and your beliefs all align with right wing ideology... at least what you have evidenced here. If you want to pick nits, go ahead. But, let's call a spade a spade.
