Does anyone see a problem with the fact that Bernard Francis Law, the cardinal that protected those monster pedophile priests, will be casting a vote for the next pope???
Yes, Baron, and as a Catholic, I must say I'm apalled. However, the church is not a democracy and we don't have any say in the matter. Let's face it, though. How many mistakes did this pope make? He was clearly the most positively influential pope in many generations. He helped bring down the Nazis as a young fellow, and then the Soviet Union while he was pope. Kind of makes the problem that is Cardinal Law(less) pale by comparison. Think of all the kids that weren't just sexually abused, but starved to death and/or tortured by those two regimes.
Yes, you have a right to be disgusted, and it bothers me, too. Let's just not let it overshadow the great things this pope did for the world.
