Mitt Romney Sounds Like A Candidate
This MSNBC piece about Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney sure has the sound of that "no means yes" candidate talk. It's a Q & A with Chris Matthews dealing mostly with the gay marriage or civil union issue in Romney's state, but gets into 2008 as well.
Ol' BC doesn't know enough about Romney to have an opinion on him. I have heard him speak at one function and the guy seems to have some charisma, which the GOP has been a little short on recently. Being governor of Massachusetts scares me a little. I don't think we can stand someone who may spend more money than Dubya.
Just a thought.

I'm pretty suspicious of eastern Republicans. All Republicans pretty much check their backbones at the door right after they're elected.
They're all bad on gun rights.
When they got control of the White House, the House and the Senate, they start talking about an Amendment to make flag burning a crime???
I'll vote for libertarians and figure that if a democrat gets elected, it won't be much different.
I don't see Romney being the best of that bad lot.
All politicians are worthy of suspicion, and you have a point with regard to Republicans checking their backbones at the door.
But do you really want the guys to get into office who OPENLY ADMIT they are going to rob you blind?
Do you really want the guys to get into office who will outspend even the Republicans?
Until a viable alternative is presented, we really have no choice.

who the hell knows, its too early to call anyway.
Ol' Bc turn on your word verifcation ;)
