Roberts Opening Statement - The Text
You can read it here. It really difficult to ascertain much from a sound bite.
So far, so good. The left may be getting restless. Some are already bristling.
Just an observation.

Clearly, Roberts is an extremely intelligent guy--and a very good extemporaneous speaker. I only hope he's as philosophically honest as he is intellingent.
Somebody in that rubber-stamp outfit needs to actually read the US Constitution.
Not that Scalia and Thomas haven't read it, but I'm pretty certain from the early questioning that Roberts has read it and has a pretty good command of it. I seriously hope I'm not disappointed years down the road.
