Attack Ad - New Name For Reminder Of Past Statements

This Drudgereport article tells about it. Sen. Daniel Inouye, who is on the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, released a statement of condemnation regarding the Republicans new ad.

"The Republican Party’s
latest ad
is a shameful and disgusting attempt to distract the American
people from the problems in Iraq. It may improve the President’s political
fortunes, but the American people and our troops will pay the price. I hope that
President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really
need is leadership, and that he will direct his Party to take down this ad
immediately."

Everything I've heard about this ad seems pretty ordinary. I heard it just plays some of the statements and comments of those who are now criticizing the administration when they were supportive. I've not actually seen the ad so time will tell.

Just a thought.

Actually, it's an ingenious example of giving a man (party) enough rope so as to hang himself (itself).

It may improve the President’s political fortunes, but the American people and our troops will pay the price.

The President's political fortunes aren't the issue here, and the American people will pay a WORSE price if they listen to the Donks.

I hope that President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really
need is leadership ...

Look at the pot calling the kettle black. Who exactly is playing politics here?

Look Weird Howard, Nancy Pelosi(?), and Scary John Kerry - If you don't want extra attention brought to the loony things you say, DON'T SAY THEM.

1. Weird Howard - You claim your quote was taken out of context. BULLSHIT! I challenge anyone to provide the context of that interview that changes the clear meaning of what you said.

2. Pelosi(?) - You are not in charge of the military. As an American, you have the right to say what you think about the "withdrawal", but you should choose your words more carefully when criticizing those who ARE in charge of the military. After all, we are AT WAR.

3. Scary John Kerry - Show me the evidence that our soldiers are terrorizing Iraqi civilians in their homes. You will fail at this challenge because you have the same kind of evidence you had back in '71 when you testified before the Senate with regard to Vietnam. None.

You are lucky the GOP didn't parade Murtha's sorry ass out there. They went easy on you, and yet you still bitch.

It is an unforgiveable sin to quote the left. They hate that. They hate that they are being held accountable for their statements before the war and, now, during it. If you say it -- shouldn't you stand by it? Hmmmmmm.
