. . .when it doesn't suit their immediate goals. Here is another example. No matter what your take on the Illinois governor and his legal problems (which he seems to have a really good chance of beating), he was within his power and responsibility to appoint Senator Oblama's replacement.

Of course, the Donks are protesting. I guess it's to try to appear like they have some level of values where ethics are concerned. Most who follow politics on a semi-regular basis know better.
