Fair Tax

This article discusses the Fair Tax proposed by Mike Huckabee, former Arkansas governor and present GOP presidential candidate. There is much to be liked about the fair tax. There are some items that constitute drawbacks. The article gives a pretty good discussion of pointing out both sides, but it omits one very key factor. The rate being proposed is too high. Not everything mentioned will be taxed, I'm pretty sure. Of course all taxes are too high as government spends money and dabbles in areas it has no business. The Constitution was very clear and made a point to leave unspecified areas to the states. That, however, is fodder for another post. As far as the fair tax is concerned, familiarize yourself with it. It beats the heck out of the income tax and the IRS nightmares.
