Hillary Confirms Communal Views

Hillary Clinton has always favored socialistic programs. Now check this out!! Here's a little...

Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic
vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one
based on shared responsibility and prosperity.

We always knew it. Now, she's confirmed it. Sounds very very much like Karl Marx.

PETA In China

Where was PETA in this story? No demonstrations? No news coverage?

According to wildlife groups, China is the main market for illegally traded
exotic species, which are eaten or used in traditional medicine. Pangolins are
in great demand because their meat is consider a delicacy and their scales are
thought to help mothers breastfeed their babies.

Hmmm. That's not all.

When coastguard officials boarded the 25-metre craft, it was reportedly deserted
and stripped of identification papers. They found more than 200 crates full of
animals, many so dehydrated in the tropical sun that they were close to death.
The animals - which weighed 13 tonnes - were taken to port, doused with
water and sent to an animal welfare centre.

I've missed the outrage over this. Where are the picketers and demonstrators? Oops! I forgot. In China they kill you for demonstrating. Those lefties make communism sound so appealing I nearly forgot they kill millions of their own to stay in power. How silly of me.

Just an observation.

Obviously Not A Republican

Oh.....My.....Claude!! If this had been a Republican we would hear about it for decades and decades. But, it wasn't so we'll still get to see some reality TV and derogatory Bush coverage.

Israel Pushing Back

The Israelis and an international peace keeping force arrested thirty-three (33) Palestinian officials and high profile types.
This article gives you the scoop.

In a statement, the army described those arrested as "senior members of the
Hamas terror organization," which it said "exploits governmental institutions to
encourage and support terrorist activity." Miri Eisin, a spokeswoman for Prime
Minister Ehud Olmert of Israel, said, "We have information that connects all
those arrested to terrorist activity." Another senior Israeli government
official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the arrests came "on the
heels of concrete and genuine indications that these individuals - all of them -
pose a clear and present danger to the lives of Israelis."

Ol' BC just has one question. Is Olmert about to get a talking to from the U.S.? Let's hope not. I've always said that Israel could almost insure peace in the region by itself if the U.S. would quit tying her hands.

Bush Presidency Improving

Here's the proof!! Just look at what was said and by whom and if you're semi-honest with yourself you have to think that maybe Ol' Dubya has been doing a few things right. I never have thought too many of his things were right on the fiscal front (tax cuts too small and spending too high) and the domestic front (way too much increase in scope of government), but from a foreign policy standpoint, Bush did what he said he was going to do. People who vote have such short memories. All the way from throwing tons of money at AIDS in Africa to other ripoffs around the world, he said he was going to do it and he did. Deficits be damned.

Little has been said about revenues to the government being at an all time high as a result of Dubya's tax cut. That would be too close to giving credit to Bush. That is not allowed in the MSM for anything. He gets ripped for sticking our nose into Iraq by those who prefer to stick our nose into Sudan's Darfur region as though the hundreds of thousands of people killed by Saddam mean nothing. Somewhat contradictory Ol' BC would say. And then there's the terrorists thing.

At any rate, Bush MUST be better than I've given him credit for if Jimmy Carter is criticizing him as Carter threw us into the worst economy since the Great Depression all by himself and his wacky policies. He had no backbone on foreign policy and allowed Iran to become a pain in the butt (They slowed down upon Reagan's election) and threw Israel, one of our more staunch allies, under the bus at every opportunity. So.......Bush must be better than I thought. Want to see the end result of turning tail and coming home? Go visit Somalia.

Israel Fires Back

Hamas may want to reconsider firing rockets into Israel after reading this article. Israel has been more than patient and that patience may be wearing thin. It should have a long time ago. How they ever figured giving land to those whose sole mission is to eradicate you was going to result in peace is a mystery to me. Now, if that strip of land was in South America or Australia it may have worked. But it being part of their own country made no sense at all. Maybe the Palestinians will push enough that we will see The Gaza Parking Lot.

Fire A Professor?

"For what?" you may ask. From time to time Ol' BC comes across a post or an article that points out significant errors with regard to what is going on in our country. Here's one. It is sooo worth reading regardless of how you feel about the site . Actually, this site is interesting, thought provoking and on the correct side of most issues an incredible percentage of the time.

So, why did the professor get fired? As RWR put it

Both NewsMax and
the New
York Post
reported yesterday that a math professor in Arizona is being fired
for harassment. He is charged with sending an email on a public service that was
"hostile" and "derogatory". What exactly did he send? Porn? KKK/Farrakhan/Nazi
propaganda? Pictures of President Bush? If only. No, what this horrible man did
was use the occasion of Thanksgiving to send out to everyone on this email
bulletin service ... PRESIDENT WASHINGTON'S 1789 THANKSGIVING ADDRESS!!!!!

Wow. What's this country come to? George Washington's address to the nation. The father of our country. Our only unanimously elected president. Cite him and you're fired? Where is the ACLU when they're needed to stand up for the constitution? Oh, how silly of me. Bad question.

Immigration - A Student's View

Fresh Thoughts, a weekly segment in our local newspaper had a very interesting blurb today by a young man named Abhilash Reddy, a student at Purdue University. Here it is in its entirety.

I am the son of two immigrants who came to this country more than 20 years ago
in pursuit of the same dreams as those protesting in the streets of Indy, Los
Angeles and elsewhere this week. I have seen first hand what America can offer
immigrants who seek a better life.
However, unlike many of the protesters,
my parents came to America legally. They filled out applications, waited in line
for visas and came here after those visas had been approved. The immigration
debate is one that resonates strongly for me, yet while I support a guest-worker
program, I have issues with the path to citizenship plan. It is against the law
to enter this nation without proper protocol. For those who came here illegally
to be allowed a path to citizenship is to reward breaking the law.
Furthermore, how far does this plan extend? Is it only Hispanics, or does
every illegal immigrant get this amnesty? America is the land of immigrants,
founded by immigrants and hospitable to them. It is also a land of laws, and we
can’t reward those who break the law.

I haven't read too many opinions on this subject that frame it any more clearly than Abhilash did. Nicely written. Clear and concise.

Many of the marchers say they want a path to citizenship. As Mr. Reddy points out, there is a clear path in place. Millions of legal immigrants have taken advantage of it to date. Maybe some of the illegals in this country should go home and get in line. My guess is they will appreciate it more when their citizenship is earned legally and they will be more apt to respect the laws of their new country.

Just an thought.
