French Have A Muslim Problem

Couldn't happen to a nicer group of folks. Muslims are killing their cops on an almost daily basis. The media may be silent, but the government officials are starting to speak up.

"We are in a state of civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists," said Michel
Thoomis, secretary general of the Action Police trade union. "This is not a
question of urban violence any more. It is an intifada, with stones and
firebombs."

Read the whole thing here. They have big problems over there. Maybe the left in America should take a look.

France's huge Muslim minority community has come under the influence of agents
often influenced and financed by Al Qaida. These agents have recruited Muslim
youngsters for urban warfare in which police and government representatives are
injured daily.

This is going to get ugly. A confrontation is coming. Iraq's importance is growing. Britain and Holland are watching France. Something is going to have to make freedom loving people step to the plate. This may be it. We may not like the French much, but they look like us. Most Americans will be able to relate to them.

HIV A Myth?

In Australia there is going to be a court case. There has been talk of the absence of the virus being identified. AIDS meds have appropriate disclaimers.
But how about the billions of dollars we send to Africa to fight AIDS? Will we get a refund from those African nations. In some areas you are said to have AIDS and are quarantined if you have symptoms of a simple digestive tract disorder - weight loss, diarrhea, fever etc. Couple that with the quality of their drinking water and ... well, you connect the dots. You don't even have to have all the symptoms. They quarantine you and start you on these AIDS cocktails that in essence kill you. It's amazing that some of the longest term survivors are the ones that didn't take the "treatments."

The nice thing about the web is that if you have the time and the interest, you can find most of this out. OR, if you have a life or a job, you can wait to see what evidence is presented in the Aussie court and what the verdict is. It could get expensive to some researchers. MSM may not give it much airtime or print space.

Al Gore...You're Needed In Cairo

Where is he when he's really needed? Bouncin' around the U.S. giving speeches? C'mon Al. Egypt has some real serious issues and you are needed over there. Dig this Al -

For the seventh year running, a mysterious black cloud has appeared over Cairo, triggering serious health concerns for the polluted city's
16 million residents.

Al, you could be over there pointing out the hazards of internal combustion engines. These people have camels at their disposal, so why in the world would such a large city act as they do. Pollution abounds over there.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned that presence of more
than 200 mg of nitrogen dioxide in the air is a great health risk.
But in
Egypt, the levels have reached as high as 305 mg in the Cairo district of Qolali
and 482 mg in Giza.
Worse still, the levels of the potentially toxic gas
have soared to a staggering 700 mg in the northern city of Qaha, in the
industrial zone of Qaliubiyah.

If the WHO is issuing warnings, one would think Al would be there. What a photo op. How in the world could he miss this opportunity to blame George Bush for Cairo's ills?

Illegal Alien...Sounds Good

Over at RightWingRocker I came across this post. If you are not one to read longer posts (which this really isn't), I'll attempt to summarize. It addresses a question a guy I work with had for me just the other day. How can I become an illegal alien?

This particular gentleman wrote his Senator to inquire about the procedure.

My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to
illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for
which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as
an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to
do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the
last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the
process started before everyone figures it out. Simply put, those of us who have
been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the
prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is
there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an
excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and
2005. Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency
room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for
medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.
Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would
receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well
as "in-state" tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for
my son. Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden
of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance
premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age
children driving my car.

I couldn't resist. It's just too good to summarize. Points clearly to the idiocy of the entire thing.

Lieberman Leading In Connecticut

Depending on where you get your information, the size of the lead may vary. The big thing is the Donks are trotting out Weird Howard to help Ned Lamont and not much has changed. Ol' BC just wonders if Joe will be quite the liberal if he goes in as an Independent. He may cross the aisle out of spite from time to time. Maybe, he will turn into a real moderate. Conservative? Nah!

Democrats And National Security - No Thanks

Ann Coulter has figured it out. Imagine that. Annie with an opinion. Thing is, this time she's on the money. Again. While the leaders of the American left plot the demise of our life as we know it, along with the Islamic fascists but for different end goals, Ann will from time to time point out the errors of their ways. This is a really good column and worth reading even if you don't particularly care for Ann Coulter.

It ends like this....

Democrats stood outside the White House shouting "Torture is a crime!" and "Bush
is the terrorist!" Yep, these are the people who claim they're going to keep us
all safe, America. Everybody good with that? Gen. George Washington tried Major
John Andre, Benedict Arnold's British co-conspirator, by military tribunal and
ordered Andre hanged within 10 days of his capture. Nazi saboteurs, including an
American citizen, captured on U.S. soil during World War II were tried in secret
by military commission and promptly executed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The Nuremberg trials were a form of military tribunal. But Democrats think
military tribunals aren't good enough for the terrorists plotting to kill
Americans today. Liberals are going to make the terrorists love us! What better
way to start than with criminal trials in front of judges like John Koeltl?

Two guesses what the column is about. The one that isn't Lynne Stewart doesn't count. Anyone can make a mistake. This judge may be one of Clinton's biggest.

Studds Dies

Headlines refer to him as "first openly gay congressman." One has to dig deep to find what the real story was.

In 1983, Studds acknowledged his homosexuality after the page revealed he’d had
a relationship with Studds a decade earlier, when the page was 17.

Interesting to see how this is treated versus the Foley fiasco. Can you say night and day?

Studds was first elected in 1972 and represented Cape Cod and the Islands, New
Bedford, and the South Shore for 12 Congressional terms. He retired from
Congress in 1997.

Retired in 1997, fourteen (14) years after admitting buggering a minor. Like I said, interesting to compare the outrage of the Donks and the media.

Not The Virgin Mary

But some odd conception happened. She got pregnant in solitary confinement. Hmmmm. Dig this....

police were investigating how it had happened.

Now that should be interesting. Divine intervention? I doubt it.

Internet Gambling Ban Won't Work

Others share the opinion. Prohibition didn't work. It was so much easier to police. This doesn't have a chance. Sooooo, stick it in the middle of a port security bill. Why won't it work? To hard to enforce? Yep. But that's not the BIG reason. Companies are mostly foreign? Yep. But that's not the BIG reason. The BIG reason? Here it is. YOU CANNOT LEGISLATE MORALITY IN A SUCCESSFUL MANNER. Period. Never could. They tried. They failed.

Schizophrenia, Politically Incorrect

This article explains it.

Mental health experts called on Monday for the term schizophrenia to be dropped, saying it has no scientific validity, is imprecise and stigmatizing.

Furthermore,
He suggested replacing the term schizophrenia with the label dopamine dysregulation disorder.

Hello! It's a word. Only a word. Most people in the world have a level of understanding of the word. Political correctness has gone clear off the charts. Ol' BC can't imagine the stigmas as that big a problem. Any chance these nuts have any textbooks being used?

Just a thought.

The Press And The Democrats

Tom Bowler at Libertarian Leanings had an interesting post on the subject. Here's part of it.

But the Democrats are still thinking about what they want to be. Primarily, they want to be in the majority, and they will be whatever they have to be to get there. Mostly that means being not George Bush. And it also means being what the mainstream press want them to be, their support being so crucial.
Unsurprisingly, this has lead to a nearly hilarious incoherence on the part of the Democrats. There are
not enough troops, we need a draft. There are too many troops, we must withdraw. Saddam Hussein is a threat, therefore regime change in Iraq is national policy. Besides, we know he has weapons of mass destruction. Or is Saddam Hussein a victim? After all, Bush illegally invaded a sovereign state, and he lied about weapons of mass destruction. Listening in on electronic communications is criminal, even if we're listening to the terrorists. But if it's a Republican congressman we're listening to, then it's OK. We must protect the children at all costs, the ones that get to be born.
For the mainstream press, there's nothing contradictory here. There's unmistakable loyalty to press ideals in those Democratic hearts. Constance. Democrats steadfastlly follow along where the press leads. And for candidates who are so true to press whims, the mainstream press promotes.

Now, that's an interesting take. May be one worth paying substantial attention to in the future. We all knew the Donks personified contradiction. Maybe this sheds a little light on the reason it's the case.

Good Point Mohammed

While visiting RightWingRocker, as I do almost daily, I came upon one of his posts that quoted Mohammed from the blog Iraq The Model. Quite an interesting take from an Iraqi. See what you think.

America's worst mistakes were hesitation, failing to invest the initial victory in Iraq and Afghanistan and not using her power and influence to achieve more. America simply did not act like a winner but instead stood idly like a weary giant doing nothing but complain about mosquito bites. Some might ask ... Do we have to do all of this? Go through all these battles and change those regimes? My answer is Yes. For one reason; terrorists and terror-supporting regimes have chosen war and America, and the values it stands for, is the target and they will not stop shooting at America until they are dead or arrested. It is a war that was imposed on the free world by murderous maniacs who would do anything to destroy the human civilization and they would not hesitate to use any means to destroy those who are different. Fighting those criminals now will cost less blood and resources than fighting them later.

Interesting. I think so. I think Mohammed has hit the nail squarely on the head. Now, how are we going to act?

Congratulatory Post For Lil' BC

Ol' BC's son took the Bar Exam earlier in the summer and just recently received his results. Hanging in there around the 98th percentile is pretty impressive even if it is my boy!

Congratulations!! Hopefully, he'll find time to do some blogging.

Greece - Home Of Funny Economic Numbers

This explains it. The article tells how the Greeks are having to count prostitution and smuggling estimates in their GDP. Why?

Under pressure from the European Union to cut its deficits, Greece is revising
its gross domestic product to include part of the booming black economy,
boosting its output by at least 10 percent in 2006,

Oh, those pesky EU types. In the land of rampant socialism, unemployment and economic disincentive, now they must falsify the numbers to keep the EU happy. You see, it has been established for years and years. When you increase taxes, production and revenue to the government tend to decrease. Why wouldn't it? Work more and keep less isn't my idea of fun.

Here's the tax rates. Notice that over 23,000 euros the tax is forty (40) percent. Couple that with sixteen (16) percent employee contribution to Socialist Security and it's no wonder they have to include illicits in the "official numbers" to keep the EU happy.

Just an observation.
