French Bashing Could Be Ending
Funny how those things work. The French, who Ol' BC really had the ass for not too long ago, recently elected Nicolas Sarkozy. How would that change one's perspective? Logical question. Sarkozy is the son of a man who fled Hungary when they were invaded by the Soviet Union and settled in France. He campaigned on a platform of repairing relations with the United States as well as cutting back on the nanny state socialism of France. Amazingly, he was elected by a comfortable margin. Why? French socialism was failing miserably as is the case in most countries who've embraced it for some time. He preached more work, less taxes and controlled immigration to stimulate an economy which had been stagnant or shrinking for a good while.
This reminds Ol' BC of another such story - Angela Merkel in Germany. First female Chancellor. Here's a lady who grew up in communist East Germany. She ran on a platform of repairing relations with the United States as well as cutting taxes and growing the horrid German economy whose unemployment had reached well into double digits. Germany was failing and Merkel knew why. Socialism.
Here's the question of the day. Why don't we hear more about these European leaders who are saying kind things about the U.S.? The media in the U.S. is focused on reporting anything negative about our country.
And get this, folks. The United States seems ready to elect Hitlery Clinton, who happens to be running on a platform that nearly doomed France and Germany, as our next president and the media in this country is doing everything possible to make it happen.
Just an observation.
