Tito The Builder

This latino gentleman made "the statement" as far as Ol' BC is concerned. He has gotten quite a bit of publicity in some circles after ripping the media over their bias towards B. Hussein Obama. Tito was on Hannity and Colmes this evening. He pointed out that the liberals want to give the poor a little handout to keep them happy and keep them voting. He then aptly pointed out that the Democrats want to keep them on the bottom of the economic ladder and give them no opportunity to move up into the class that have managed to amass a level of personal wealth.

Way to go Tito!! Preach to the latino community. They need to hear your message.

Just an observation.

Socialism At It's Best

Hugo can't even keep the lights on. This is what the main stream media seems to want for us. Maybe we can have songfests by candle light. The article says. . .

Despite having some of the world's largest energy reserves, Venezuela
is increasingly struggling to maintain basic electrical service, a growing
challenge for leftist President Hugo Chavez.

"With so much energy in Venezuela, how can we be without power?" asked
Fernando Aponte, 49, whose slum neighborhood of Las Delicias in San Felix spent
15 days without electricity -- leading him to block a nearby avenue with burning
tires in protest.

Wow, all the Donks behind Obama should be really excited that we may be able to move up to this level of idealism. I wonder why nearly all of Europe is running from socialism and electing leaders who ran on lower taxes and less government.

Just a thought.

We're Always Learning

At least Ol' BC is. This Delftsman post was enlightening indeed.

Question: What U.S. governor is routinely briefed onhighly classified military
issues, homeland security, and counter terrorism?Answer: Governor Sarah Palin,
Alaska Question: What U.S. governor has a higher classified security rating than
eithercandidate of the ...........Democrat Party?
Answer: Governor Sarah
Palin, Alaska

Somehow Johnny McDumbass and the GOP have neglected to point out such things to the American people and the MSM when they start drooling over the often forgetful Senator Biden's level of expertise in foreign affairs.

I thought from the beginning that she was the best candidate of the four. Confirmation just keeps coming our way.

Universal Health Care - Fails In Hawaii

This Hot Air post tells about it. It goes to show you that you really can't fathom the effects this sort of thing will have on an economy.

“People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it
so they could get it for free,” said Dr. Kenny Fink, the administrator for
Med-QUEST at the Department of Human Services. “I don’t believe that was the
intent of the program.”

It took seven (7) months for Hawaii to throw in the towel. Keep in mind that this was a program for "the children." Some seem perplexed at the result.

Fink gets this entirely wrong. Taxpayers didn’t get this for free.
They paid for it with their taxes. Keiki Care took taxes and directed it
into creating a universal health-insurance program for children, and apparently
didn’t set any income requirements for entry. Why wouldn’t the taxpayers
whose money funded the risk pool take advantage of it?

It's common sense to Ol' BC. Wait until it becomes a national program. Talk about a economic melee. I don't think people can really comprehend the magnitude of the catastrophe. This was just supposed to gets the kids conditioned to socialized medicine. That was the intent of the Washington bill earlier. Get the next generation conditioned to look to the government.

Voter Fraud?

This article from Florida points out just one example. It's big when you look at how close that state has been recently in presidential elections.

More than 30,000 Florida felons who by law should have been stripped of their
right to vote remain registered to cast ballots in this presidential
battleground state, a Sun Sentinel investigation has found. Many are faithful
voters, with at least 4,900 turning out in past elections.

Wow. Sort of makes hanging chads not so important. Will anything be done about it, even though it's the law? Don't hold your breath.

"It's scandalous, really," said Lance deHaven-Smith, professor of public policy
at Florida
State University
. "Why do they have to cull the rolls after they get
registered? They shouldn't get on the rolls in the first place."

It might be interesting to see where all these "errors" occur. Ol' BC thinks that's not too likely. Democats seem to outnumber Republicans two to one according to the article.

Just an observation.

Pull Out Of Chicago?

This Mr. Minority post makes an interesting point. Several interesting points actually.

Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago; 221 killed
in Iraq.

Also, it references Chicago politics, taxes, government debt, education and more. It provides us a brief view of the background from which Barack Hussein Obama comes to us. Scary stuff at best.

Just an observation.

PETA Moving To Peru?

They eat cats and have festivals celebrating the practice.

They believe that eating cat burgers – and fried cat legs and tails – can cure
bronchial disease.
It is also believed that feline meat serves as an
aphrodisiac.
The cats are bred especially for this festival – which takes
place at the end of September on the Day of Santa Ifigenia.

PETA is aware. When are they going?

Just a thought.

Don't Say Barack Hussein Obama. . .

. . . even though that's his name. The Feds may investigate you.

Regarding the federal investigation, Sheriff Scott sent us this statement:
"I
am on duty 24/7 and 365 whether in or out of uniform. Like every other elected
official, I am aware of from President to Governor to State Representatives,
etc. We engage in political activities whether for ourselves as candidates or
for others. As of this writing, I am unaware of having done anything to generate
all this attention other than using the senator's full name."

That's all it takes, pal. Hussein is off limits. . . even though it's his name. Are they not putting full names on the presidential ballot this election?

Just a thought.

Bailout Passes - Not A Good Package

Here is one of my problems with Bush. A bill goes from a ridiculous amount of money to a ridiculous amount of money plus 150 billion (150,000,000,000) dollars. This president has blown away LBJ when it comes to spending. That record could stand almost four years - the Obama thing.

Pork In Senate Bailout Bill

Here's a list of some pork in the Senate bailout bill passed last night. This is a 400 plus page bill with earmarks added to essentially what was a three (3) page house bill. This is a huge part of what is wrong with government in Washington.

Some of this fat in the bill may have some merit, but it should have been debated independently. This is a big part of why the United States has trillions of dollars of debt.

I wonder if any of this will be mentioned in any debates leading up to the election.

Just a thought.
