Australian Paper Busts Hezbollah

I can remember when the press in the United States was for the most part supportive of our country. Now, it appears nearly all the impact news is slanted heavily in favor of those who wish us ill or dead. However, in some parts of the world, some effort is still made to publish the truth. Here's some proof from the Herald Sun down under.

Oh, the article even calls Hezbollah out for their human shields and operating in civilian areas. In the U.S. it is widely known that it's all the fault of those evil Israelis. However, there are interesting photos in that Herald Sun article. Maybe the Jews ARE getting a bit of a bad rap here.

On a side note, why does the Jewish community keep voting for the Democrats while those same Democrats continue to side with those groups that want to destroy Jews all over the world and eradicate Israel?

Remember Rule Number 1

What's rule number 1? Many people will undoubtedly wonder. Well, Ol' BC's rule number one is always a good one to remember, especially as the potential candidates begin posturing for a run at the presidency. So, here it is...

The government usually is the problem and rarely is the solution to the problem.

Keep this in mind as we begin hearing what all these wannabes start promising.

How Could I Miss This?

That's what Ol' BC has been trying to figure out. John Kerry could have prevented this whole Middle East mess.

U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D- Mass., who was in town Sunday to help Gov. Jennifer
Granholm campaign for her re-election bid, took time to take a jab at the Bush
administration for its lack of leadership in the Israeli-Lebanon
conflict.
"If I was president, this wouldn't have happened," said Kerry

Wow! All this time I thought Kerry was a socialist moonbat to the nth degree. Now, suddenly he's informing us he may be the next Ronald Reagan when it comes to peace in the world.

Rudy (not the movie) In '08

Why? Very simple. The MSM likes him. He's electable. However, he's not the conservatives choice, but he may come around enough to keep them turning out. If he can, he'll win.

Here's one who thinks Rudy is it.

When crisis hits, Americans want a president who’s on the scene, someone
who runs to the fire, tells us what he sees and what we need to do about it. We
don’t want a president who needs to be briefed on the basics from some remote
locale. Bottom line: The cowboy is out; the sheriff is in.
Enter Rudy
Giuliani.

There you go. By an MSM guy.

Problem With Wild Eyed Left

The liberals who perpetually run their mouths and carp and whine about George Bush sit silently while human rights abuses continue around the world. The feminists who bitch and moan about women membership at Augusta National Golf Club sit silently while young girls are routinely abused. How can this be. Ol' BC has a theory. Neither cares about atrocities and abuses to mankind. They've made it abundantly clear by their actions, it's all about power.

Moonbat Monitor had a piece on breast ironing young girls. Where is the outrage? Martha Burke, why the silence? No TV cameras?

"They cried and said it was painful. But I explained that it was for their own
good."
"Breast ironing" -- the use of hard or heated objects or other
substances to try to stunt breast growth in girls -- is a traditional practice
in West Africa, experts say.

So, that brings us back to the original point. The liberals and socialists who whine about some terrorist being subjected to some level of discomfort, sit quietly by as young girls are tortured. The left, those of numerous "human rights" issues in the past, have no interest in addressing any issue that doesn't directly result in criticism of George Bush.

But, then again, many of them contend that George Bush caused Hurricane Katrina. And some people still vote for these morons.

Brilliant

Not all that often, but occasionally Dubya will do something right (not right as versus left, but right as correct). Here is one instance.

President Bush rejected Lebanon's calls for a cease-fire in escalating Mideast
violence on Friday, saying only that Israel should try to limit civilian
casualties as it steps up attacks on its neighbor.
"The president is not
going to make military decisions for Israel," White House spokesman Tony Snow
said.

There is quite a mess on Dubya's plate at the moment. He really doesn't need to get involved in any Israeli - Arab conflicts. That has been the problem of the U.S. for years. When one people has as its sole mission the eradication of the other, the reality is that peace isn't going to happen. If it was up to the Arabs, Israel would look like Palestine on the map. Ol' BC has looked at the last several revisions of the world map and has yet to be able to point to Palestine. Yet for some reason, the U.S. has tried to broker peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

Israel has the wherewithall to handle the situation over there were the U.S. to get out of its way. The Arabs have never has any interest in peace. Never will. All they want is for Israel to be erased from the face of the earth. The big dog of Iran reiterated that recently.

Question...

If Japan launches a pre-emptive strike on North Korea, how will that be George Bush's fault?

Just a thought.

Who Wants One?

...or a house to put it in? A 103-inch plasma TV!! You know there will be some who have to have one. I wonder if they'll host a super bowl party.

Referral

Read this one from RWR. It's not about George Bush stealing another election. It does apply to a certain degree, however. It may show why the socialist/communist candidate came up short in Mexico. George Bush has amazed many people, both ways actually. However, I seriously doubt he's manipulating elections around the world.

On the other hand, those wild eyed left wingers think Bush has super-human powers in some areas. I haven't exactly figured that out yet. But they insist he does some amazing things - all the way from causing hurricanes to causing communist candidates to lose elections in other countries.

Gitmo Info...Confusion Reigns

Now word is getting out on the detainees secret papers and their suicide pact that apparently was going on at Guantanamo Bay. This article explains.

Detainees could apparently hide documents in their cells -- including
instructions on how to tie knots and a classified U.S. military memo regarding
cell locations of detainees and camp operational matters at Guantanamo -- by
keeping the materials in envelopes labeled as lawyer-client communications.
Notes that investigators found after the suicides on June 10 were apparently
written on the back of notepaper stamped "Attorney Client Privilege," which
allowed detainees to communicate secretly without interference, according to
government officials.

Let's think semi-logically about this. These cockroaches were assisting in trying to kill us and we are affording them all the rights of a habitual traffic offender imprisoned in this country. The Geneva Convention crap is a one way street since the terrorists have demonstrated over and again that they have no interest in compliance.(But that is another issue) Ol' BC thinks it's time for America to wake up. The Bush bashers don't care about this country. Their head is in the sand when it comes to what is going on. Their only concern is bad mouthing Bush and if the country is weakened, they don't care. The bigger question is this...

If the detainees want to kill themselves, why would we want to stop them?

Sanctuary City (Cambridge,Mass) Offered Help

And How!! Project USA is putting up billboards with info for assistance in getting to the bluest city in the bluest state.

This Boston Globe article tells the story.

which is starting a national campaign urging undocumented immigrants to flood
into the Massachusetts city. ProjectUSA is raising money to pay for a billboard
in northern New Jersey that it hopes will be the first of many across the
country.
The proposed billboard would read: ``Attention: Illegal Aliens.
Cambridge, Mass. is a sanctuary city. For help getting there, contact projectusa.org/NJ-mass
transit."

Interesting. Very interesting. Don't expect a flood of illegals going to Cambridge. It costs a fortune to live there. It's mainly for those of intellectual superiority and in many cases, no common sense.

Big Ol' Tip of the cap to Jay Tea at Wizbang.

Just an observation, but really interesting.

P.S. If we can get a million or so illegals to migrate to the sanctuary city, maybe Cambridge could enlighten the rest of us on dealing with the situation.

Putin Sends ABC News Packing

The iron curtain may have fallen. The Berlin Wall may have come down. BUT, that freedom of the press thing isn't quite the same in some parts of the world as the good ol' USA.

This story tells what prompted such a move by Putin. You see, not all world leaders are as nice as Dubya. Apparently, Putin was offered equal time to rebut a story he didn't like. Too little, too late. ABC, you're out.

Ol' BC is waiting to see the New York Times take on this. Could be interesting.

Thought For The Holiday

As Independence Day approaches one question bugs Ol' BC.

If I buy a rotary phone will I still be subjected to the "press 1 for English" prompt?

Just a thought.

Tree Huggers Unite

Here is the issue of the day for you tree protectionists. Ready?

Cash Register Tapes!!!

Ol' BC just got back from the home improvements store (The blue one, not the orange one) from where he had purchased one item. One item for cash no less. While waiting for the young man to try to figure out the change (that's another post altogether), Ol' BC noticed the receipt was a foot long or more. What's up with that? Mrs. BC went to the drug store and brought home a receipt somewhere between 24 and 30 inches long. You guessed it. One item! At the local grocery (which happens to be a chain store) you get the monumental receipt PLUS a green one of specials and other values half again longer.

Here's the deal. If Al and the tree huggers would address this issue, it would be a terrific benefit to the trees being slaughtered for all these unnecessary receipts. Just think of all the carbon dioxide those trees could use and the oxygen they could give off. The earth should start cooling again in the near future as per its normal cycle. Al and the rest could take some credit here.

Just a thought.
